The Western Region Academy of Sport (WRAS) provides quality development training to assist young athletes in the Central West achieve sporting excellence.

Nominations are now open for our 2022 programs including Basketball, Cycling, Golf, Hockey, Para-Sports programs as well as our Lone Star program which caters for athletes competing in all other sports.

Nominations for the 2022 Greater Bank Netball program will open in September.

These programs provide high performance coaching, physical development, education and elite camps and tournaments to upskill athletes and assist them in progressing to higher levels within their sport.

Executive Officer of WRAS Candice Boggs, said she is thrilled the academy will again welcome a new cohort of athletes into this important pathway.

“Launching our programs is one of the most exciting times of the year for us, as we get to see the depth of talent across the central west of NSW,”

“WRAS programs provide a pathway for regional athletes, we have some developments planned for 2022 that will provide athletes with new and exciting opportunities.”

Nominations remain open for 2-3 weeks depending on the program. All details about the programs including eligibility criteria and links to nominate can be found here
