Each year two WRAS athletes are invited to NSW Parliament House to attend the NSW Regional Academies of Sport Parliament Reception.
The Parliament Function sees over 100 guests including Academy athletes, Members of Parliament, Local Government, corporate supporters, family members, media and other Academy representatives gather to recognise the Academies achievements during the year. It also serves as an opportunity for the athletes to thank their local Members of Parliament for their strong support for the sporting success in their regions.
This event is a great showcase of the continued NSW State Government support towards the RASI success that for every $1 of state funding returns $24 back into regional NSW.
