Six of our 2023 Lone Star athletes returned to Dubbo Athletics Track primed for the 2023 Region 3 Track & Field Championships. The two-day event saw a number of impressive results with the WRAS cohort leaving with eight gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.

Ella Penman (Dubbo) individually claimed five regional titles in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m (Regional Record time) & Triple Jump and also qualified for the Little Athletics State Track and Field Championships in the 4x100m Women’s relay. Jocelyn Blair (Orange) continued her brilliant form on the track qualifying for the State Championships in six events which included three gold medals in the U15G 90m, 100m (PB 12.95) & 200m.

Hadden Bennett, Luke Hinrichsen, Mia Penman and Phebie Ryan also qualified for State which is set to be held in mid-March after they all earned at least one podium finish at regionals.
