Dubbo Athletics Track played host to the 2023 NSW Country Championships where six of our Lone Star athletes were in action. Over three days of competition they collected ten medals with Jocelyn Blair and Ella Penman leaving the meet with three country titles between them.

Jocelyn had an outstanding meet claiming the U16W 200m Hurdles and High Jump gold medals along with silver medals in the 90m Hurdles and 100m and a bronze in the 200m.

Ella Penman who raced in older age groups for these championships secured the Open Women’s 800m title to go with her Bronze medal in the Open Women’s 400m.

In other results, Hadden Bennett, Phebie Ryan and Luke Hinrichsen all earned podium finishes in what was a very successful and rewarding meet.
