WRAS heads to Wallerawang – 1 February 2008
Over 160 Western Region Academy of Sport athletes and squad staff from across the region will converge on Wallerawang this weekend for a live-in training camp. The basketball, high performance, hockey, lawn bowls, netball, softball, tennis and triathlon squads and WRAS lone stars will participate in a variety of development and education sessions. The Combined WRAS Camp has become an annual event rotating each year between Wallerawang and Dubbo. High Performance Triathlete Nick Kastelein Jnr travelled to Huskisson last weekend to compete in the Scody Australian Long Course Triathlon Championships. Nicholas came in first in the 18-19 age category. Nick Kastelein Snr also competed in the event and placed fourth in the 40-44 age group coming in just 14 places behind his son overall.
