The Western Region Academy of Sport Annual General Meeting was held at the Bathurst RSL on Monday evening 18 May, where the election of new board members took place.WRAS welcomes two new members to the board, Katrina Ferris of Bathurst and Peter Hargreaves of Dubbo. Katrina brings a great deal of experience with regional academies having been involved with the Illawarra and North Academies of Sport as well as previously being WRAS head basketball coach. Peter is passionate about sport and has a background in finance, currently as Manager of the Rabobank in Dubbo.
During the meeting, a new executive was decided with Professor Frank Marino of Bathurst as chair, Beth Shea of Orange as deputy chair and Peter Hargreaves of Dubbo as treasurer.
WRAS thanks outgoing board members Matthew Irvine (2008 chair) and John Rodis for their hard work and continued support of the Academy. Its been great to have you both involved!

2009 WRAS Annual General Meeting

The WRAS AGM will be held at Bathurst RSL in the Heritage Room on 18 May 2009 at 7pm. There will be elections for two vacant positions on the board of directors at the meeting. Information and Nomination forms for board positions are now on the WRAS website in the downloads section. Nominations close 5pm, 11 May 2009. AGM Nomination of Proxy forms and the 2008 WRAS Yearbook can also be downloaded from the website.

WRAS 2008 Board

The Western Region Acdemy of Sport Annual General Meeting was conducted on Monday 25 February at Bathurst Panthers.

Following changes to the constitution made two weeks ago the number of positions on the board was reduced to seven. The board for 2008 is Matthew Irvine (Yetholme) – Chair, Robert Cluff (Wallerawang), Ross James (Bathurst), Frank Marino (Bathurst), John Rodis (Bathurst), Beth Shea (Orange) and Peter Veenstra (Orange).

The Academy welcomes the new members to the WRAS family and thanks the 2007 Board members for their service.
