The Western Region Academy of Sport Annual General Meeting was held at the Bathurst RSL on Monday evening 18 May, where the election of new board members took place.WRAS welcomes two new members to the board, Katrina Ferris of Bathurst and Peter Hargreaves of Dubbo. Katrina brings a great deal of experience with regional academies having been involved with the Illawarra and North Academies of Sport as well as previously being WRAS head basketball coach. The Western Region Acdemy of Sport Annual General Meeting was conducted on Monday 25 February at Bathurst Panthers. Following changes to the constitution made two weeks ago the number of positions on the board was reduced to seven. The board for 2008 is Matthew Irvine (Yetholme) – Chair, Robert Cluff (Wallerawang), Ross James (Bathurst), Frank Marino (Bathurst), John Rodis (Bathurst), Beth Shea (Orange) and Peter Veenstra (Orange). The Academy welcomes the new members to the WRAS family and thanks the 2007 Board members for their service.
