Nominations for the WRAS 2019 hockey squad will open in early August 2018.

Who is eligible?

Athletes who live, attend school or are meaningfully employed in the WRAS catchment.  Athletes cannot be a scholarship holder in the Hockey NSW AAP for the same term.

Age of Athletes

The WRAS 2018 hockey program will cater for male and female athletes born in 2001, 2002 or 2003

What area is the WRAS catchment?

The WRAS catchment includes the following council areas:  Bathurst Regional, Bland, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Dubbo Regional (including Wellington), Forbes, Gilgandra, Hilltops (including Boorowa and Young), Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Regional, Narromine, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin.



You must attend all development training activities and events that are conducted throughout the duration of the program


The 2019 hockey program will run from November 2018 to April 2019 (with the WRAS annual presentation evening being held in August 2018)


Dates for selection trials will be announced in early August 2018.

Athletes will be assessed on set criteria that will provided prior to the selection trial.  WRAS expects field hockey to be your primary sport of participation
