Who is eligible?
Athletes who live, attend school or are meaningfully employed in the Western Region. Athletes cannot be a scholarship holder in the Hockey NSW AAP for the same term.
Age of Athletes
The WRAS 2018 hockey program will cater for male and female athletes born in 2000, 2001 or 2002
What area is Western Region?
The WRAS catchment includes the following council areas: Bathurst Regional, Bland, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Dubbo Regional (including Wellington), Forbes, Gilgandra, Hilltops (including Young), Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Regional, Narromine, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin.
You must attend all development training activities and events that are conducted throughout the duration of the program
The 2018 hockey program will run from November 2017 to April 2018 (with the WRAS annual presentation evening being held in August 2018)
The selection trial will be held in Orange on 14 October 2017.
Athletes will be assessed on set criteria that will provided prior to the selection trial. WRAS expects hockey to be your primary sport of participation
