Aims and eligibility
The primary aim of the 2012 WRAS High Performance squad is to provide an additional opportunity to select graduate athletes who have competed at state, national or international level, to allow them to continue to progress successfully to the next level of representation. Invited athletes are encouraged to apply for a scholarship. The final selection process will include an interview and athletes should be aware that development will be a dual responsibility – between themselves and the Academy. Athlete’s objectives will need to be set and monitored and both the athlete and Academy staff need to work together and communicate regularly to ensure outcomes are achieved.
