The WRAS AFL program is endorsed by AFL NSW/ACT.
The WRAS program sits between local representative AFL and higher order representation such as NSW state selection. The Academy program exists to up-skill athletes and assist them in progressing to higher representation in the sport of AFL.
The WRAS 2018 AFL program will commence in February 2018.
Trials for the 2018 program will be held at CSU Bathurst on Saturday 24 February. Nominate here – nominations close 5pm Tuesday 20 February.
Who is eligible?
The age group for eligibility – athletes turning 14, 15 or 16 years old in 2018.
Basketballers must be living or attending school in the WRAS catchment.
What areas are included in the WRAS catchment?
The WRAS catchment includes the following council areas: Bathurst Regional, Bland, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Dubbo Regional (including Wellington), Forbes, Gilgandra, Hilltops (including Young), Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Regional, Narromine, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin.
