In July 2008, the Western Region Academy of Sport is conducting Rookie Camps for Basketball, Hockey and Netball and Rookie ‘Plus’ Camps (for current WRAS squad members and Western Region rookies) for Lawn Bowls, Tennis and Triathlon. The residential camps will be headed up by coaches from the local region, special guest coaches, senior WRAS graduates and association/club coaches.The purpose of the camps is two fold; to provide junior sportspeople with the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge, in a fun and supportive learning environment and to identify talented sportspeople, to be invited to apply for a WRAS scholarship. Information sheets including costs, ages and dates for the camps along with nomination forms will be uploaded to the download forms section of the WRAS website in the next couple of days so stay tuned!
